Most Indian gates are already covered in cameras. Lobbies, boom barriers, parking ramps, all watched, all recording. And yet the same problems repeat: an unknown car waved through, a stolen plate nobody flagged, a parking dispute that takes a morning of scrubbing footage to settle. Recording versus reading

A conventional setup stores footage so you can review it after something goes wrong. That is forensics, not security — by the time you open the clip, the car has left. Atlas reads the number plate at the gate in real time, checks it against the VAHAN national registry, and alerts the guard before a flagged vehicle is inside. The job shifts from "find out what happened" to "stop it at the boom."

A guard who never blinks

Human attention does not scale to a 2 a.m. shift in the rain. A guard watching a wall of monitors cannot match every plate against a watchlist, remember the car that has shown up unannounced forty times this month, or stay sharp for twelve hours straight. Cloud surveillance ships your footage somewhere you cannot see — exactly the posture India's 2026 directives are moving against. Retention is conservative by default, every event lands in an access-controlled, encrypted audit log, and no PII leaves the box. It is designed for the DPDP Act, not retrofitted around it.
